What one thing would you like to change about the mental health system?

I am a woman in my mid 30's. I'm blind and I have dissociative identity disorder, I also have complex PTSD. I blog about my life with these disorders. I live in Ireland.

Well, I was never in psychiatric hospital for longer than the day and never had other therapist than my current, so my experience in this topic isn’t very rich, though I heard from a few of Polish people with mental illnesses that they were treated otherwise than the physically ill patients. Otherwise means with less respect, less seriously, or like their illness is their fault. People definitely know more and more about mental health, but still you can find people in the mental health system or generally in the health care system who seem to be pretty ignorant about mental illnesses. It definitely sucks, so I think I would change this thing, ’cause I don’t see any reason to treat mentally ill people worse than these physically ill.

    1. That seems to be a popular one, it’s important that people can afford mental health treatment, it’s sad that some people can and it’s sad that some people are made to feel like they have to go private pay
