nitros vet visit and weight loss success

this morning has been super busy. kristen came and we went to the vet with Nitro. he had to get his kennel cough vaccination and he had to get his ear drops repeated. the vet said his ears still look like there is a lot of gunk in them but she said we can wait and see if the drops will work and if not i can bring him back and she will get me oral antibiotic drops for him. it cost me 60 euro today at the vets. it was cheaper than i anticipated because I thought it would be around 80 euros. the kennel cough vaccination went up his nose, trying to hold him steady while she put it up was hell. he did not want to stand still! it must be an awful sensation putting something up his nose. he was kind of stressed when we were at the vet, panting and shaking a lot. when he’s stressed out he shakes himself a lot. there were two other dogs at the vets, a labradoodle and a black lab. they were barkers and poor nitro was just like what are they doing! he didnt bark or whine at them.

I also saw Karen my nutritionist this morning. she weighed me and i was only down by half a pound. but i guess thats better than nothing. i just need to concentrate on the upcoming week and keep working on the weight loss goals i set myself. which are to lose a pound or two, drink more water, eat more fruit and vegetables, exercise five times, and keep an eye on my energy levels.

we came home then and i ate breakfast, except it wasnt really breakfast food that i ate. I had toasted cheese sandwiches. Kristen is cleaning now. She cleaned out my fridge and presses where I store my food. She also stripped my bed and remade it with clean sheets. Then she washed the bed covers. I love having clean sheets, it feels really good to climb in bed and sleep with clean sheets. I’m going to the basement club for the afternoon. Looking forward to seeing everyone down there.

  1. Poor Nitro. I can imagine him not liking stuff put up his nose. I don’t even like squeezing nose drops up my nose and I’m doing it myself! Here, our kennel cough med is given as an injection.
