Writing to distract from triggers

in an attempt to distract from my triggered state i am going to write. this might come out all jumbled, my thoughts are a jumbled up mess right now. but i am going to try.

i have a busy day tomorrow. my pa kristen will be here early in the morning, thursday is one of the days she comes. i have a lot to get done once she arrives. i need to drive to my moms house and collect money from her, she very kindly offered to change a cheque for me so that I wouldnt have to drag nitro in and out of the car and it would be one less thing on my list of things to do. i can just collect the money from her and then head straight to my nutritionist. i see karen my nutritionist tomorrow for the first time in two weeks. i havent been working extremely hard at losing weight, so it will be a miracle if i have lost any. if i am down I’ll be celebrating. but if I am not down I’ll try not to let it get to me. i will just have to try harder for next week.

after seeing karen I need to take Nitro to the vets. His ears have been giving him trouble. I think he has an infection in both of them. He’s shaking his head a lot and whimpering and I think they are very sore. I am going to ask the vet to give them a deep clean. I hope she’ll also give me an antibiotic for him. He was due to get his yearly vaccinations but they wont give him those while he’s sick. I’ll have to bring him back in a week or two, once his ears have cleared up.

After all that, I’m going to come home and eat a nice healthy breakfast. Mom bought me some honey spelt bread today and I cant wait to try it out. I’ve tasted it before and I really liked it. She also bought me a lot of fruit because all the fruit in the store she was in was half price. So yeah, I’ll have a healthy breakfast but not before i get weighed. I’ll wait until I get home from running all my errands.

Once kristen leaves I am going to the basement club. I have a meeting with Emily, one of the staff down there. We are going to talk about my volunteering and I will be signing a new contract. We are also going to talk about ideas for the newsletter and other things I might be able to do for my voluntary work. It should be a good meeting.

  1. Poor Nitro. the bad thing about when animals get sick is that they can’t tell you specifics. I think ear infections are probably rather common with those hang-down kind of ears because the insides of the ears don’t stay dry as easily as the dogs with ears that stand up. that bread sounds really good. I’d never heard of it. It sounds like you’re going to have a full day tomorrow. I hope the triggering will be done with for the time being. xxx

  2. Give Nitro a big, giant bear hug from me and my littles…I am glad you are writing and reaching out for support. Hope you can get some much needed rest, you have a busy day tomorrow.
